Arsenal superstar Aubameyang rooting for Super Eagles at the 2018 World Cup


Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang backs Nigeria to shine at this year's World Cup in Russia. The Gunners star is supporting the Super Eagles because of his Arsenal teammate Alex Iwobi.

He was spotted wearing the Nigeria's Nike World Cup kit Arsenal superstar Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is rooting for Nigeria to win this year's FIFA World Cup title staging in Russia. 

The Gunners most expensive player failed to help Gabon qualify for the 2018 edition of the global football showpeice during the qualification process. And he is backing the three-time African champions to do the continent proud in Russia, most especially as Morocco and Egypt both lost their opening fixtures.

Nigeria will get their campaign underway when they clash against Croatia in their opening Group D encounter in Kaliningrad on Saturday, June 16


The former Borussia Dortmund forward who posted a picture of himself on social media was pictured wearing Nigerian Nike kit, and said that: "I said that I wanted a naija @nikefootball kit and today they brought it to me thanks a lot now I can support.

"Having joined the Gunners during the winter transfer window, Aubameyang managed to score 10 goals in 13 appearances for the north London team.
